I'm about to have a crack at the fender.

But ............ my AC is temporarily out of service (no gas .. ).
So ............. I don't see any problems with removing the AC condenser to gain easy access to the intercooler. True or false ??

From reading up on a UK site (no aircon unit) it was easy peasy from the front.

    Been a while.....

Undo the top radiator bracket and remove.
Lever/move the passenger side intercooler bracket and bend the 90* end with the captive nuts up and out of the way and lift the I/C out (struggling past the 90* return on the bracket)

oh, and xenophobia means having a fear of foreigners
