Thread: Ser 3 alternator warning light is always on

    Ser 3 alternator warning light is always on

    but the battery doesn't go flat, so I ignore it...any suggestions?

    maybe a diode gone and still putting out some charge, although it is normal for the light to not as bright as fully on. Have you put a volt meter across your battery to check the voltage.

    Like he said, the alternator will put out approx 1/2 power with one doide blown. Just don't expect it to run spotlights as well. Find another one and when you're bored put it on.
