Hi folks,
I'm in need of new shocks for my D1
decided on bilsteins.
Wondering where would be a good place to get them?
Here or over seas does not matter much to me as price would probably
be the main consideration.
Thanks
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

I know LRA in Melbourne sell them as well as special long ones which are muchero dinero.
I bought mine from Graeme Cooper who said he couldn't give much of a discount because the retailer does not have much margin.
You can get them from the USA cheap but I do not know whether the valving is the same.

Check out eBay for second hand ones, I bought a set (suitable for 2" lift) with steering damper for $500 that had done zero miles, the bloke fitted 2" springs and these new 2"+ Bilstiens and found he couldn't get into his garage, there are still some bargains on eBay, Regards Frank.
Bought a set from Graeme Coopers in Sydney with no troubles.
First thing, you don't say whether your suspension is standard height,or whether you will alter it in the near future. These are the things that determine where the best place to buy from is.If you just want standard length shocks, then you could probably get them here.If you want something a little or lot longer then there are a multitude of places overseas, that will be cheaper than buying here.Even taking into account shipping costs.
