I had the engine mount bolts already sitting with the engine mount we took out... which further stumped me. And as for the drivers side i have spent too long trying to figure out the magical way which it goes back in...

I would take pictures if either this computer had bluetooth or i had a digital camera with me

    Hey Mick,

I have spent most of today on it... and have made a few more dolly steps. But really i would truly rather pay yourself and Maybe Paul to finish it up with me?

As it seems when i try to get mechanics to help they bail, So i thought if i pay you it might actually get done. And i will also help with the County!

No need to pay me mate, my biggest issue is getting the time to help you as you know,.. The 4 nuts i am talking about will be the nuts that hold the rubber mounts in place. Doesnt your manual show how the engine mount is fitted?

I have put the passenger side engine mount back on and it only says to put the driver side mount back in place it doesnt show how. And in hiensight i should have mounted it then lowered the motor onto it as i cant see any other way of doing it... even if the mannual says it can be done.

I have put the alternator back on but am now starting to question if i have done all the bell housing bolts or if i have done them up tight enough... how vital is their torque?

I guess ill continue to research on how the hell this mount can be put back in place.

Well there is a crap load of them, but i would be trying to get them tightened down good and proper before moving on to the engine mounts, once they are back in you wont be able to lower the motor down to get to those fiddly top studs.

Are you over there working on it now? i will drop past on my way home.
