    It is absolutely ridiculous.

    It's no wonder Macquarie Bank want to buy the company that's won the contract from the RTA. When was the last time Macquarie Bank bought something that didn't milk its 'customers'.

    Also, if the NSW Government are projecting a $137m increase in fines revenue, then clearly there 'road safety' campaign isn't working, if it was we'd all be behaving ourselves and no one would be getting pinged.

    Let's see them push through an exemption for this mob to park their vehicles on footpaths and in restricted areas...

    I know the RTA is talking about it - or, as they say - considering it. But has it been passed yet? Police will still maintain their tolerances I would imagine, as they appear to be in conflict with the RTA on this one..

    Dont let the 300tdi fool ya.
    Last trip from tassie to perth I got 2 speeding fines in the mail by the time I got home, first was in tassie the day I was leaving, 56km in a 50 zone, fair enough call I suppose. Next one was on the western highway in vic, 104km in a 100km zone, ya gotta be kidding, they wernt

    I was doing 96 in the V8 with a car on a trailer and the TDi behind me just pulled out on the overtaking lane and disappeared. Might be slow getting moving but thats all.

    Thanks for the link, loverly glossy brochure isn't it!!!! The part were they say "Quality digital images for high prosecution rates" says it all really!!!

    Just heard on 2UE Sydney talk back radio, apparently (not 100% sure) the 4km speed limit rubbish has been officially denied by the State Government!!
