LT95A TRB intermediate shaft nut torque

What should the intermediate shaft nut on a TRB setup be torqued up to?

    i.e. this nut

Also, there is a metal tab that is currently under the nut, which attaches to the nearest input gear cover plate bolt. It has a hexagonal hole cutout that looks like it can fit over the nut. Is it just me, or is this supposed to go over the nut to prevent it from loosening?

    Cheers

    Hi Bojan,
torque it to 125ft/lb and yes, the hex lock tab is to stop the trb bolt coming loose.

It's been a long time since I overhauled one of these so memory is a bit rusty.

Isn't tightening that bolt putting preload on the intermediate gear support bearings?

    Dave.

    Dave.
It does, but the preload is adjustable by the thickness of the thrust washer between the shaft and the rear plug. you have to set it up for the correct preload.
