Need to so this on my passenger side front window ... removed the liner and could see that the felt strip has split and perished at the bottom - there is no screw holding it and the aluminium strip either.

Do I assume you unscrewed the strip in situ from top to bottom, pulled the other one down and out and then slid the new one up and then screwed it in place?
