the one I hate the most is when they advertise a workshop fully staffed with qualified techs/mechs and then out there on the floor is 10-12 appys and 1 full time qualified mechanic.

I got someone a free gearbox when I took a photo of an appy putting the gearbox drain plug back in with a rattle gun.

For spelling call Rogets, for mechanicing call me.

I think this could be the main issue nowadays, The amount of "computer" knowledge required has increase incredibly, and it takes someone with a really good abillity to interpret the data into mechanical terms to fix a lot of problems - a lot of problems are mis-diagnosed, they just miss the cause, and try to fix the symptoms.

"O2 sensor #1 faulty" = replace the sensor. Nevermind that fact that it was running rich on idle due to a faulty injector, and idling as rough as can be. (for example)

    My thoughts anyway.

that is very true, witch is why SDD is as they say just a gide, the computer only tells you what it thinks its happaning, so that side of it becomes even more fun, but there is a trend i guess you can say to it, and some times its easy to pick up,, others no so,

another eg is CPS on a v6 D3, if that fails the hole car prity much shuts down, and there are a bunch of ride control faults, when actuly its running perfict, just the CAN system has gone into melt down,
