			Turbo leakage/whine and damaged oil pipe?
		
		
				
					
					
				
				
					
				
		
			
				
					While checking the cause of recent turbo noise changes I noticed the damaged hose in the image below.
 
Its under the heat shield, right side of engine approx vicinity of manifold etc. The photo is viewed from below.  I believe it is the turbocharger oil return pipe.
 
The impact is between the fixed metal pipe and the resonator. The pipe is dented and gouged. If it were to fail, I suspect oil loss would be rapid and if the manifold and turbocharger are hot enough, I imagine there is a risk of fire.
 
You can follow this pipe from the sump (front right side - there are 2 in close proximity. It is the one with the narrower diameter)
