Replacing the CD Player in the Disco 2 TD5.

    Hi Guys,

I just recently bought a 2000 model Disco 2 TD5 auto. The CD player is not the best and would like to put in something capable of MP3 etc.

I was only able to find on these forums how to remove the cassette player from the older models.

Would anyone on here know how to remove it so I can put in something better?

    Thanks,
    Scott

Pics of the unit you have would assist.

Basically there will be slots in the front of the head unit which you insert rods of some description (either flat or round depending on model)

These unclip the locking mechanism and you just pull it out.

Look for 4 holes, 2 each side... these can be done using coat hanger wire, long nails etc. in each hole till it releases. Then gently pull the unit forward... (you need to do all 4 holes at once).

Any single Din head unit will then fit, Aerpro do loom adapters to suit (no cutting)

Called aerpro but they don't make adaptors for discos. Anyone know where I can get an adaptor for the 2000 disco td5 to fit a pioneer?

That's because the Disco has an ISO plug and Aerpro wouldn't know what's what!

But here is your required harness:
