"Have being running Diesel Power additive for the last 9 months, hasn't hurt the D2, helped? possible. "

I have used Chemtech Diesel Power in TD5's for 5 years, no issues had, no repairs needed. Helped probably, but I will keep using it as it has a anti algae/fungal element to keep your tank tip top, also works as a fuel anti freeze when you in the very cold locations, no need for alpine diesel.

    Kero in Diesel

    Hi All

A kero and diesel mixture is used as home heating oil.
The practice of topping up tractor fuel tanks with heating oil, allows easier starting of their motors during the frosty winter weather.
Although you must stop using it during the warm weather, as quite noticable diesel knock will occurr.
So, adding kero does help with the indirect injection engines, that is the type of diesel engines built with precombustion chambers.
Adding kero doesn't much help with a direct injection diesel as they are normally quite good at starting from cold.

    Hi HangOver

Metho will take up a small amount of water that way, but not Kero.

After using a farm tractor all day, we used to make a practice of filling the fuel tank as soon as we returned to the yard, using the fuel to drive out the excess air in the tank.

    Cheers Arthur
