    Thread sealant

I am in the process of some pre-trip maintenance on my Defender 130 and the costs are starting to mount . So far I have bought a new radiator, cleaned the intercooler, in the process of changing all fluids, and removing the sump to repair a stuffed thread and this brings me to my question.

When replacing drain and filler plugs do people put anything on the plug threads? If so what do you use?

Brass and aluminium are not a good mix. The aluminium starts to disappear. Use thread tape generously to keep them apart.
