Had it towed to an auto tranny workshop after it failed to proceed in the daughter's street. Awaiting the verdict, but it won't be cheap, I fear.

Dodging the rain storms I installed a remote head UHF unit into Charlie this weekend.

Hardest part was finding the firewall grommet on the passenger side, under the insulation. Got 12v off the empty relay socket at the bottom of the inside fuse box and mounted the uhf unit with double sided tape inside the knee panel under the steering wheel.

    Working nicely!

Dare I say it, I finished the LT77 rebuild. Bell housing and shifter assembly on. And so it sits, waiting for the LT230 to be finished.

    (Only took 4 years.)

Took the (strong!) advice from the Forum to get my IGN lock - barrel re-adjusted, before it totally fails on me.
Easy enough to get the 'security' bolts out, replaced with ordinary hex MAZDA ones...
Hint 1: - use a hacksaw blade and 'try' and cut a bit of a groove in the conical head, to give the sharp pointed thingy something to bite into. New pin-punch is ideal, but a freshly sharpened file (end) worked fine.
Hint 2: - Use ALLEN head bolts, the top half of the clamp obscures 90% of the (hex) bolt head when screwed in.

$55 for the Locksmith to work his magic, and an hour or two stuffing around - and losing trim screws.

Swapped over the front EAS height sensors, the Left one was always going out of range, especially in wet weather. Early Classic sensors, the big round ones can be reversed, unlike the current replacements which must be ordered for their specific sides.
Five days straight and no faulting
    - Even the simple task of routing the cable from sensor to the wiring harness socket was a typical Pommy nightmare. - How do they make little mole-hills into gi-normous mountains ?????

My cheapie ebay door-lock thingy, $17 a pair, is still working fine, as is the (fixed ECU) rear windows. - I operate them often, simply to celebrate the victory !

Did manage to take off one of the sides of the top, doors and the windscreen. The horror story will be the seat box fittings and the bolts attaching the mudguards to the firewall.

Yep! the bolts attaching the mudguards to the firewall are a real problem.

A slice with a thin cut off wheel in the angle grinder, down the side of the firewall should go the trick, I will need a couple of very long extension cords to reach the power point though.
