What did you use to paint exhaust? Any pics? Have you done it before, if so how long does it last?

Helped Craig pull the V8 out of the 6/84 Rangie he brought from me for his restoration / rebuild. A set of fine spline 4.3 locking diffs, R380 and 3.9 EFI going back in. Should be a nice bus when he finishes.

Looked today at buying a good 1959 SWB Series 2 Chassis and a serviceable firewall. Will still need a tub to start rebuilding.

Flame/heat proof spray paint from sca or ab. Wire wheel on a angle grinder as best as possible. Wipe clean with acetone and rag. Spray on.

Not sure how long it will last but anything has to be better than the half painted system the ****** put in. Basically fitted the system and painted it on the car from underneath. ..

I fitted relays to the headlights and still on the original headlight switch in my Defender after nearly 300,000 Klm's.

Tell me about the swather, are you restoring it or are you planing to cut something like Canola with it ?

in regards to the swather, it needs to go to a good home. I'd love to restore it and keep it to go with its original diesel tractor, a Massey Harris 744D, my grandfathers first diesel tractor.
While I can fit the tractor in my yard, I cant fit the swather.
Its been shedded for decades and hardly used, it will cut cereal crops/hay but cant handle medic/ clover hay at all.
the canvas belt and all of the bat reel is original, just needs a tractor with a pto to run it, it has its own hydraulic pump driven from the pto on board.

    A museum perhaps

Mark, what about the museum at Franklin Harbour?
They have all sorts of farming machinery there, but I dont remember seeing a Swather. Dont know if they purchase anything, or if its all donated, but could'nt hurt to ask (?)
You actually seem to have quite a few museums over your way.
