What did you do on your Landy today?

Pulled the fuel pump and cleaned the pickup filter.

Finished of getting all my solar panel wiring behind the panels. I know it's bit silly but as Cigarette sockets are pretty convenient, I have one as power directly from the solar panel and another from the main battery via a "accessory's" switched relay. It wouldn't harm most things but maybe if someone connects their iPod to the 18V solar it might cause a drama.

My solar battery is more of a portable power pack than a second battery. The solar controller is mounted directly to the battery and I have a female short lead female cigarette socket connected to power whatever I need. My fridge and battery live in the vehicle during the day when the solar is hooked up to both power the fridge and charge the battery after it has been run flat over night. The 2nd cigarette connection has a diode to prevent power going in the opposite direction and charging the main battery but in the morning when the fridge battery is low, power will come from the main battery while I am driving.

It's a bit complicated but I get 12hrs, 20min from the 22Ah battery and I'm not over loaded like my mate in his 100 series, He's more than 500kg over GVM.

12+ hours from a 22AH battery is amazing - what load do you have on the battery and what state of discharge is the battery at after 12+ hours?

Had a play and fixed the niggle i had with the D4.. Horrible yellow lighting inside.

Here with white led in main and red led in the map lights.

Also done the puddle lights and cargo area.

Actually on the weekend but whipped up a set of draws/pull out kitchen. Thanks drifta for the idea.

Ye mate no worries. I don't have the best carpentry skills in the world but it's not too hard to make.

Installed the boost sender for my MadMan. Next I have to find the oil pressure switch on the TD5 so I can hook that up to the MadMan alarm.

And finished wiring my relay so all my accessories work of a 40amp relay with decent wiring rather than all of the cigarette lighter wire.

Installed 2 more cigarette sockets in the front for the GPS, GoPro and wifes iPhone. My iPhone gets connected to the stereo USB.

Broke a cat, replaced the pair and the centre muffler with magnaflow items, now she sounds like a v8. Brilliant!

Installed my 1000CC Cat Battery. I was suprised just how much differance it made. The old battery was 710CC and while it was a bit old it had one of those inspection holes that changes colour and it was still green and it was still working Ok. I olnly changed it as I am doing a trip and didn't want it to fail.

Reinstalled my windscreen washer bottle. It's been out for months, since I fitted my winch and never bothered to put it back in. I only really put it in to get it out of the shed. Worst thing was I found the hose had fallen of one of the washers and when I put it back in the nipple snapped. I thought I'd just remove it and then glue it back together but the clip broke as I tried to remove it the whole thing was just so brittle. LR quality plastic.
