Bought this today, pink bits included. Needs a gbox or just a centre diff.

Nothing. Found out on FB it’s nothing but a Soccer Mums car... and that the only true Land Rovers are Defenders...

So I put on my Tiara and Prom Dress and drank my Latte...

Are they car horns on the front of the bullbar?

Yes. He's a bushfirey and he used to use it as a "quick" response vehicle. Horns blaring.....first things coming off when I pick it up, just got r a find somewhere to put it and the 109 stage one 3.9 traytop I got at the same time.....

Well in an effort to make room for my upcoming arrival of bushpig the perentie im trying hard to make room here in my driveway for it and the piglet, the 109 stage one tray, ive been trying to finish the teardown of the donor diesel s3 for the s2a Betsy. I took the bulkhead off today,



These are the bolts that actually came undone. The right side one was easy as. The left one was a little more difficult but came out with some work and inox.
The above is the left bolt, not much good anymore but still not broken
The right bolt. Useable again. Very good condition.
Anyway the bulkhead is off and in the back yard.

Pm if ur looking for an easily repairable s3 4cyl bulkhead. Petrol and diesel are the same.

Gotta do the snoopy thing now and rest...

Well today, in the bloody heat, as im getting a bit time poor to pick up my new perentie, i pulled the rest of the diesel s3 donor apart. Only real trouble i had was the r/h front spring was broken at the rear eye and the l/h front was the same. Of course both front bolts were siezed in the front spring bushes, and as i want to keep the front part of the chassis, i had to get the grinder out and carefully cut the bolts without damage to the hangers. Easily done with my mighty Ozito 5" grinder and thin cutting disc.
The last cut destroyed the disc just as it was almost through the bolt coz the whole lot moved as the bolt broke off. Ehh no prob. Discs are cheap enough. So from this

And now some more room in the driveway. Now next job is to set the pintle ring on the No. 5 trailer to rotate so i can take it to a mates place for a few months storeage...i hope...lol. Then tomorrow or Wednesday ill go get the FFR Perentie and start the job of fixing or replacing the centre diff that the PO has stripped out and dismantled....hmmm. Hope i can get the parts i need.

Also took the pintle ring off the no5 and cut the tag of so it could rotate. Left one washer out so it wasnt jamming up. Couldnt see any other way as the washers had flats inside and a cutout on the outside. Refitted it and its all good. Maybe i should get new nuts too.
