    Technically not today but....

Found an old picture of the first landy I ever drove. Picture was taken 33 years ago with my first camera - a 1980 Kodak Brownie. I was 12 at the time when the old man taught me how to drive when we were camping out past Leonora.

Took my disco off the battery charger.
She doesn't do a lot of work, ie. not used every day. Are they prone to running down? She took over 24 hours to charge...

Original County AC? Ours hasn't worked since CFCs were banned. Another thing to add to the list.

No, aftermarket setup, installed twenty years ago, converted to new refrigerant about five years ago. Uses a "under dash" unit under a redesigned cubby box, retaining full use of the vents.

The joy of owning a Disco

Sitting in our caravan waiting for the mechanic to call, just had transmission replaced, new torque converter, rebuilt transmission and new wiring to tranny. Also installed a larger oil cooler as we are towing a rather heavy off road van all the time.. Oh well it is only money and you cannot take it with you, but I would like some while I am still here.

Well I may say I did not do it just have to pay for it.....

I WOULD RATHER PUSH MY DISCO THAN DRIVE A JAP 4BY

Changed all the fluids, built some sliders/steps, bolted the cargo barrier in, adjusted swivel pre load, replaced some ill fitting hub seals, trying to knock a few small jobs off the list before tassie next week.
Rewire headlights, swap fan belt, install compressor, remove crappy window tint, install a few split pins in hard to get places, install tyredogg system, pack car, then build bike rack for camper, pack that and i'm doneWhat did you do on your Landy today?

Thank you SA motor reg. My series 3 109 I bought a month ago, had been sitting for a few years under cover, (was told 15 yrs), I overhauled the brakes, clutch hydraulics and pedal, got the 186 going strong again, ETC ETC, walked in and regoed for 3 months. Been driving for a few days now. Tiny bit of noise from the 5 speed box in 3,4,5th gears but performs well. I love it

    Cheers Rod

Today, was work on my sons Puma.

Gave him a hand to fit a 'Nugget Stuff' Puma airbox, simple but fiddly job. The point of no return is when you start cutting the old air track up to get it out.

At least the snorkel is now nice and tight, top bolt was obviously too much trouble for those that fitted it.
