    I repaired my central locking

Simply a case of making 4 pieces of wire into 2 again. They had broken in the rubber pipe thingy between the door and b post.

Oh yeah, also broke a few of those stupid plastic studs that hold the door card on

Fred's motor the III, the never ending story

Changed the housing, replacing both the front crankshaft and camshaft seal's and then being the next thing to put back, I looked at the front timing case cover with the integral fan hub bearing and it's hub. Guess what! the hub flange has a piece broken out of one of it's threaded bolt hole's and with not enough thread left to hold the bolt, one of the four that fastens the pulley to the hub's flange.

Having brought a couple of new fan hubs, a while ago from maxi drive, I set forth to swap out the damaged hub and install one of the new spares.

Spent a whole afternoon making a really schmick puller out of a threaded portion of a old viscous fan coupling, when screwed onto the threaded boss for the viscous hub, it worked well enough to move the hub partly up the shaft and then all the threaded boss broke off the hub. .
    to be continued!

Last week I put on new 245/75 Maxxis Bighorns. They look great on a Disco1

Yesterday I got half way through a timing belt change and discovered oil residue in the timing cover, so probably going to wait until next week when I can replace the crank seal before I finish the job. What I really WANT to do, is put it back together and go for some 4x4'ing this weekend and pretend the oil seal can wait...

Today I installed an EGT gauge.

Ordered a ribbon cable to repair my radio display on the L322.....I wonder if I'll be good enough to fix it!
    I believe it's quite tricky.

    D4 work in progress

Finished off the Traxide dual battery system, seems to work as well
Fitted the foxwing onto the new Rhino racks.Fitted them a few weeks ago.
Picked up a Rhino mesh tray off gumtree(brand new, still in box) for the Oztent & other things that need to go on the roof.

Found plastic power steering reservoir rubbing on metal part of A/C discharge hoseHad to bend it out of the way so they don't rub on each other.Other D4 owners might need to check this.
