    Prop shafts

    Removed rear prop shaft for a look see and uni joint replacement if needed.
    Cleaned up the unis and gave them a good full range greasing.
    Still in tip top condition after 17 years and 325,000ks.

    Fitted flares after going bigger tyres.Clark rubber $ 85.00 for 4 meters . Perfect fit and only took 20 minutes .

    watching, A 4x4 is Born

    My order for the DVD 'A 4x4 is Born' arrived today.

    Very taken by the form used for shaping the curved flange of the body and the method of determining the correct heat to anneal the alloy.

    Bullbar and winch

    Well, I dont do much to my girl,, I should'nt need to, she's new,, But I did fit a new Bullbar and winch on her during the weekend. Still have to mount the control box and wire it all up,,

    Electrical day. Hard wired in an old garmin cigarette power plug cord for the gps to under the dash. And fully organised a number of wires that had been piggy backed onto other wires piggy backed for radios and reversing cameras with a new fuse block. Great to get rid of a bit of clutter and free up the ciggi lighter socket for other duties. Simple yet satisfying.

    Gosh! Disco's can pull

    Today I hooked up to a Allis Chalmers HD11 with "Fred" my D1 ----- and ------the Dozer was pulled backwards!!!! .

    Tucker Truck will travel again

    Tony was the one in the cab and Graham drove the Allis.

    Oil squirted out of the holes where the glow plugs live, went about 5 metres up in the air !!! and the smoke WOW .

    By the time Tucker truck had been driven home the motor had settled right down.

    Now to find some body parts.

    No good Arthur! Hope no one hurt or sore necks etc coming on! No twisted chassis? looks like time to get out the mechano set and start changing panels!
    Soft top on ebay now - easier roof to fit?
