It did...

Either it can and does handshake with the fobs... and the transmitter somehow lost frequency stability/power regulation, or the receiver is not meant to transmit., but a major internal fault set it off. Rare, but possible.

Whatever, the receiver is not worth fixing, only use would be a weapon of mass disruption...
