If it's the same ticker ticker as the old one it should be fine, If a solid state it should be fine.

Ok. The fuel pump died. It's been performing faultlessly since 1992 even then it was very second hand.
I popped into Autobarn They sold me one they said will do the job. Made in China. Installed it. It vibrates away. Doesn't pump fuel though.
Back to Autobarn. The only other they have is a Holley, quite a few hundred dollars, good for a gazillion horse power, oh, don't use ethanol blended fuel.
I went to two Autobarns (who told me Facet don't exist any more), two Bursons (who only stocked pumps for 4cyl cars), one Auto1 who was closing for the day, one Supercheap (who don't stock fuel pumps any more), and one Repco who had a Facet.
Isn't it any wonder we turn to overseas vendors on the internet.
In desperation I bought the Facet. It is 4-7 Psi, 132.5 l/hr.
Is this suitable for a 3.5 V8 twin carburettor motor?
What sort of figures should I be looking for in a fuel pump?
Thankyou all in advance.

I have no idea of the specs of the old one.
I usually put them on a couple of lengths of hose fill the hose on the fill side then lift it over the pump, drain it through the pump put both ends of the hose in a jerry of fuel and power it up.
Sometimes the preservative they put on them turns to wax and prevents the valves from working correctly.

Thanks Dave. I'll try that tomorrow.
I have this as a spare for my 101 2.5
This is the second one I have had - the first was given to another 101 owner with fuel pump problems and it powered his 101 Ok.
The one you have might be a bit high in psi but as the carbies feed excess fuel back to the tank you probably will not have any issues.
Give it a go and see what happens.

The new one I put on last week that won't pump is a Fedtro but not like the Fedtro in your link.
The Fedtro in the link looks like the Facet I bought today.

On one of overland trips the electric pump on one of the 110s died, after installing the spare one it was the electric wires turn to catch fir after a short circuit with the chassis (I don't know why their was no fuse on the electric circuit? I advise those of you having still 110 to install one).
We were in the middle of nowhere and the nearest village had no spare parts available.
The only option we found was an electric pump from a wrecked 6 cylinder Mercedes Benz (Not EFI), we installed it in the engine bay in line with the old disconnected one.
It worked fine showing no difference to the facet pump.
We had to manually connect the Merc pump by hand and disconnect it when we stopped the engine.
You can install an electric pump of old 8 cylinder american cars as well.
I've been told that the electric fuel pump off a VL commodore works well as a replacement fuel pump on our V8's
Come to think of it ....... I'm sure my brother runs one on his 87 RRC
Cheers
