Now that's a burnout that would put any young commodore/falcon driving hoon to shame.

Me thinks I might just take a bit more notice of the notches on my dipstick in the future.

My very first modification, if I was tempted to own one of these disiesel thingies, would be to add a cable operated butterfly to the air intake. How hard could it be?

BTW I worked on a NA Toyota Hilux engine from ca. 2002 and it had a throttle butterfly. It was an "all or nothing" thing, open with the ignition key and SHUT with the lights out. Simple, really.

A tap on the oil feed line to the turbo was a mod I was seriously considering.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

For those like myself and many others who are watching this with concern for their own Diesel... here are some methods to STOP this if it were to occur.

    1. Block the air intake
    2. Use a Co2 Fire Extinguisher directly into the air intake
    3. Select the highest gear with the hand brake and foot brake fully depressed and release the clutch quickly.

Lets hope this never happens to any of our pride and joys!

    Kind Regards, James.
