    What are the plugs best suited for a 1986 RR that are easily avaliable and affiordable?

    If it's on petrol just about any standard brand plug will work fine, look at the catalogue at your local auto shop. Bosch list WR7DC+ for this model.

    There are a lot of factors - Electronic ignition,EFI,LPG, wear of engine, coil size/HEI.
    Generally NGK/Denso/Bosch standard plugs are good performance/value. Available most everywhere. Next step up ( if you have HEI ) are the platinums ( Roughly double the price as std) and then top shelf are the multiple electrode versions.

    I had a 89 RRC on LPG, and it seemed better that I gave it a new set of NGK BPR6ES plugs regularly (& kept them gapped properly) rather than using expensive versions.
