What are the plugs best suited for a 1986 RR that are easily avaliable and affiordable?
There are a lot of factors - Electronic ignition,EFI,LPG, wear of engine, coil size/HEI.
Generally NGK/Denso/Bosch standard plugs are good performance/value. Available most everywhere. Next step up ( if you have HEI ) are the platinums ( Roughly double the price as std) and then top shelf are the multiple electrode versions.
I had a 89 RRC on LPG, and it seemed better that I gave it a new set of NGK BPR6ES plugs regularly (& kept them gapped properly) rather than using expensive versions.
Thanks langy what gap do you recommend? Regards Lancer
