Well, I've been thinking about it for years and tmrw I take the plunge. The clutch fan is going and a set of thermos from an AU are going in the Disco. I'm using a Davies Craig controller and will put a switch in the cab so I can turn them off when crossing/submerging the old girl in water.
This was done by Chris (sprover) a while back. The main thing to get it to work properly is to mould the cowling around the fans so they draw the air through properly. The link below might help.

My Land Rover has made me a better Mechanic........
D2 TD5 Manual, CDL, Detroit Rear, Truetac Front, 2" OME lift, 32" MT Tyres, ARB Bull Bar, Winch, TJM Roof Rack, Driving Lights, Dual Batteries, ARB Side Steps, Rear Draws, Uhf.
Thanks for the link. I'm using the whole setup, cowling and all, it slides in almost perfectly. The only thing that bothers me is it just touches the bottom radiator hose, i could cable tie the hose back a touch or maybe fit some sponge between the hose and the cowling I guess.
There are plenty of threads on this topic, some with pics.
You should have a search to save some possible grief.
If you pm me your email I can send some pics..........
It is important IMHO that the weight of the fans and shroud is not carried by the rad, and that the rad is correctly supported weight wise by the grommits on the bottom, not the bolts on either side. Pics will show how I did it.
cheers, DL
Oh well, they're in and I can't believe how easy it was.
I have to say i'm pretty happy with this. Noticeable increase in power and definitely smoother.
