They were discussed on here a few weeks ago & the consensus was that they were cheap Chinese bull bars.

Looking at their website though, they appear to be Thai made but that could just be a stopping point on their way from China.

I must admit though, they do look good.

As I mentioned in the other thread, I would be careful, all the photo's seem to be of the same bar regardless of vehicle stated. The one you get may not look like the photo.

Having said that, if any one buys one for a D2 I would keen to know their opinion and see the photo of it mounted.

I must say, I'm more than a little suspicious of really nice looking websites with spelling errors. I think it is unprofessional they don't take due care with their business image. I always think they have the same care (or lack of) with their product.

I have had an MCC bar in the past on a D2 -yes they are from Thailand.

I thought it was fairly well made and had no issues in that respect but because of the design of the crush cans and the way bar mounts to them it is just about impossible to prevent the bar from rotating into the grill in the event of even a mild bingle - or even a touch of a tree or rock out in the bush.

There were front clearance issues with the thing as well I was never happy about - it just hung too low.

In my opinion, recommended for very light duty or cosmetic use only. Keep looking is my advice.

I agree about the spelling mistakes. Gives me the irrits. I also like the pitbike motorcycle in the background of the ebay site photo - wonder what else he imports from china?

MCC4x4 Australia is based in a warehouse complex in Mahoneys Rd Thomastown.

The ebayer is a 4x4 shop near Ballarat.

While the products don't look that great I think you need to be fair and not damn a company on the basis of objects in the background of a pic posted by one of their resellers.

The ARB is a better grade if material.

Sorry people, but Chinese knock offs undermining Aussie manufacturing is one of my pet dislikes.

For a start MCC are not from China. They are made in Thailand.

They've been manufacturing in the automotive industry since the 70's, and went into 4WD accessories in the 90's.

They have been supplying their barwork internationally (branded as other brands, including Ironman up until 2010) then MCC decided to come to Australia under their own name.

They have quite a few innovations, and a few other manufacturers are now copying them.
