The pressure in the fuel gallery in the head has no real influence on the amount of fuel injected. It just makes sure that the injectors are filled correctly. Therefore putting up the pressure will just put more strain on the fuel pump and other parts of the system.

Injection pressure is generated by the cam operating on top of the injector, so the pressure in the head has no influence on it. The best way to get more power is to have a good remap from somebody of good reputation....

Yep totally agree with that. The pump and system is designed to operate within a given parameter and higher pressure of 1 bar more would not be 1 of them.

    Hello
Just a thought......... it did cross my mind about killing the pump very quickly, I do have very good map on my ecu along with lots of other things to make it go well, more pressure maybe not that good. Thanks for the replies

Might just put more stress on the injector seals and force fuel into the sump - we all know that doesnt end well.

    Hello,
Yes a TDV8 would be great I have been looking at one, very good prices in the UK nearly brought one last year it was 2009 TDV8 RR remembering about 10,000 pounds not a bad price even with all the add on's to get it here....shipping, GST, and every other tax to get it into this country... I will be going again in a few months will be looking at some then... think what you could do to it... tuning that is....Very happy with my TD5 even with the harshness in the drive train .. just makes me better with the spanners stripping the diff this weekend to have a look.
