    Question TD5 Injector issues

Ok engine has been back in the Fender for a couple of weeks. Had not done any long runs but a few short runs.
Initially had some issue on start up Nanocom has logged 31-1 Injector 1 Open Circuit Current and 31-2 Injector 1 Open Circuit Current. These are the only problems the Nanocom is logging. Then started and would run rough. Played with some electrical connections. All good and ran great for a couple of weeks (only small drives and stop start).
Today decided to take for a decent run down to Bunbury and back. Got 15kms up the road at 100kmph lost engine power completely, luckily glided into a park bay. Same symptoms arose again. Nanocom has logged 31-1 Injector 1 Open Circuit Current and 31-2 Injector 1 Open Circuit Current. These are the only problems the Nanocom is logging. Engine would not fire, just pouring fuel out exhaust as white vapor. Main cranking battery flattened a lot quicker than I would have expected. I replaced the aux battery last week with a Optima Blue Top. Is it possible that the starting battery could be buggered and causing this?
I am now at a bit of a loss and to be honest really over stupid things with this car. Currently I have the main battery on charge and will see if that helps, but not confident this is the issue. My belief is the alternator is charging and surely this would deliver enough power to provide enough power for car requirements??? Everything else still run and had enough power, but when I towed it home the charger showed the main battery as dead flat, though it still showed green in the sight glass.
Is it possible a fuel air lock could cause this?
    Cheers

Hi craig, I would suggest yes aerated fuel is causing it for sure, and worse case Injector has failed internally, also. What year is your vehicle? Green or blacktop injectors?

(Edit, 2000 you should have black top. I may have a good one, free in exchange for the knackered one if you want, as all I want it for is to make into a compression tester..PM or call me if you like, 0408 995 635).

Looking like injector washers, fuel in sump. Must have buggered them on installation.
