    RAVE on Windows 7

    Hi all,

This must have been asked before but I couldn't find anything in searches. I can't get my faithful old RAVE CD to install on my new-ish Windows 7 laptop. It installed OK again yesterday on my old Win XP (SP2) laptop but even using "Win XP (SP2) compatibility mode", the new PC doesn't want to know about it.

    Any clues? Thanks, Ian

My 2000 ed worked well on both my laptop and main computers.

Did yours install the Adobe 4. My current reader is up to 10 or 11. Mine only worked on the 4.

    Cheers

Check the entrails of a chook... eye of newt is available, (some re-generate) but wing of bat has been banned by the RSPCA...

Luckily RAVE works of both my Win 7 / 64 bit home comp and the ancient XP / 32 bit laptop.

Thanks for all the replies. Rick, my version must be older than yours. Mine installs and runs on Adobe reader 3.0. It installs Adobe on my XP machine and then installs itself. On the Win 7 machine, the installer won't even start. Just immediately pops up a mesagge saying the software is not compatible - even if Win XP compatibility mode is used.

I could, of course, just buy a new copy but it p*ss*s me off that I can't get this version to work!
