I need to replace the Coolant Temp Sensor in my 1997 Disco 3.9 V8.
But when I have been looking for the part to buy online the pics I have found dont look like the sensor that is currently installed in my Disco.
Attached is a pic of my temp sensor. It has two verticle pins and looks very much like the pic of a sensor I found online for a Defender (part number PRC3541) ??
Does anyone know if the sensor in the pic is the correct one for my Disco? If it is the part for a Defender is the spec the same for my Disco V8 ?

this isn't the temp sensor. this is the sensor that turns on the electric fans when the engine overheats. the coolant sensor/s are located next to number 1 cylinder inlet branch of the inlet manifold. the single pin one is for the gauge, the 2 pin efi plug one is for the engine ecu.

OK well that certainly explains it !! Thanks for the help, much appreciated. I'll have a look at the correct sensor now.
