Disco 1 seat diaphram - where from?

Hi, I have to repair my dads drivers seat in his 94 Disco - the diaphram under the seat has split. My sons has done the same. So - does anyone know where I can get these from? Thanks in advance for those who know

This was discussed in the above thread. Some people have managed to fashion a sort of repair, others, myself included, just bought a replacement 2nd hand diaphragm.
Got mine from a landy breaker's yard.

Exmoor Trim was mentioned and they're probably the best bet for trying to find new diaphragms.

    Cheers,

Exmoore do them, was told there were no dealers in Oz Have seen them on ebay in Oz. Or do what I did, cut a piece of ply and jam it underneath, a bit firm but works well. I used about 10mm ply, you could use thinner for a bit more give

I know that Exmoor sell their products through Britpart, and a couple of the vendors on here are Britpart agents.

Might be worth putting a 'Wanted' ad in the markets.

I wouldn't go the Exmoor diaphragm again, I ordered one from UK, cost was around the $100 mark I think from memory but found they are too soft, with less support than the original. Your bum sinks down and you can feel the steel bar under the seat, I even swapped the passenger seat foam over as that was firmer from less use.

I was doing a search for MTC9931, which is a Range Rover Classic seat diaphragm, and I found a reference to somebody using one in a Disco, so that may be worth looking into.

Seems there's a fair chunk of demand at the moment Mario. Is it not worth getting some stock?

Yes, the seats are getting older . . . and so are the owners!
