    Universal Joint Grease

    Hi all,

I'm servicing the defender, and have run out of grease in the grease gun. Can anyone recomend a suitable grease for uni joints and slip joints? The stuff in it was red, but I can't recall what it was. I did search without result.

    Thanks,

    Jono

I know the old stuff was red but I would go with blue if it was my grease gun
Dont tell Rick130 but I just use Castrol Marine for everything that needs grease
except perhaps CVs which I use diff oil!!!!!
But if Im servicing an inferior type vehicle that uses grease in the CVs then at a pinch Ill chase up some molydisulphide

anyway - my point is castrol marine will work just fine

I think the last grease may have been Nulon L80 Extreme Performance Grease, but didn't seem to be available at the "national chain auto store" I usually go to. I like the idea of Marine grease, I use it on the camper trailer bearings. Thanks for the replys. I'll grab a tube of castrol Marine grease tomorrow.

    Thanks

    Jono
