    More bad luck

I couldn't believe it to day I refitted my bosch starter motor to my D2.
    And it is stuffed.
I can't believe it, I disconnected the battery, unbolted the starter motor. removed it and stored it to refit today. Only to find it ''no work no more''.
The solenoid has shorted some how, tried the + jumper lead to to the battery terminal to the starter and the - from battery to starter retainng housing. No go all I got was sparking.
Had to fit a new starter. Strange how things just give up the ghost without warning

Sucks when you have some bad luck. It won't last forever tho. I've had moments where I think the same, but it definitely passes and the fun and enjoyment of the Landy comes back.

I've had days like that, where it seems that nothing goes right. I normally down tools and walk away at that point, for fear of ending life and the universe as we know it.

How many times have we told you to stop messing around with your crazy genetic experiments Dave?
Unfortunately we seem to get a string of bad days every now and then, but then there are those moments that make it so very worthwhile.

Orange? Well there was a rumour that the Orange Base Hospital had a room next door to the maternity wing where they removed the webbing from between the fingers and toes of the new born.....and you did mention you had scars on your fingers on another thread

Jimboomba is apparently "loud thunder, no rain" in the local Aboriginal tongue. They lied. It's ****ed it down most of the day
