Just a heads up Simon (And anyone in Orange)
Genuine filters at TL today, air filter was about $20 all up.
Centrifuge AND Oil filter came to $45 total.
Genuine LR parts, and they're in stock
Also ordered 5 sump plug washers so I don't have to keep coming back every time I drop the oil.

Sump plug washers can be annealed & used again, [ copper] I've used one 4 times before replacing, Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

    To put it into perspective.
Filters have come to about $60
    Oil will be the same.
NFI what it costs to dispose of oil, but lets say another $60.
$10 worth of sump plug washers for the next 5 services.
$190 for this service and aspects of the next 5, as opposed to the $600 or so TL charges for a minor service.
Even doing a major service, it would still only come to something like $350 as opposed to $1100 TL wants.
And I can't be wealthy, I have a Land Rover

While you're under there make sure you grease the (all) uni-joints and slip yokes, just as important as oil changes and cant be done enough, I do mine before and after every off road trip, Regards Frank.

Check your local council waste transfer depot. You can often drop off oil for free as it is recyclable. My local depot takes up to 10 litres for free, so it just requires one trip for a standard oil change. For all fluids you have to make a couple of visits.

Non greasable prop shaft unfortunately, I often check it for play and give them a good eye-balling. No ACE so no ACE filter.
ATF was done when the trans cooler and lines were replaced so that's 20k ago, with only very minor wading done I'm happy to let it go another 20k.
Might also do diff and TC, but we'll see.
Cheers for that Paul, I'll see what they say.
