ARB run a special every now and then for free fitting.
Ashcroft in u.k for both locker and stronger axles. Ashcroft Transmissions
MR in bris are Landie specialists and stock some hy-tuff/ maxi drive stuff.
Lucky8 in the states do mail order for a Detroit.

The Detroit Softlocker would have to be most bang for buck, as the install is by far the easiest, not having to worry about vacuum or air pipes, switches, compressor etc. it is especially cheap if going into a Salisbury diff-as on some Series, 110s and Defenders.
Unfortunately, being an 'auto-locker' means you can't put a Detroit in the front diff unless you have a Series Landy.
If your car is a Disco as in your avatar, then an Ashcroft, ARB or TJM locker would be best in the front and probably rear as well. You can't get new Maxidrive lockers for Discoveries as far as I know.

Have a look at the Eaton/Harrop E-lockers. No Compressors, no vacum

I've been very happy with my Detoit Rear and Truetrac front. I got them through Lucky8 from the US. Just point and forget. You don't know there there but you climb over things with ease and give more confidence.

E-lockers are a Harrop product. You can get them through Opposite Lock. I was quoted $1900 installed by OL Syd South. Not sure if other 4wd outfits sell them. The unit cost is $1600 no matter who you buy it from. Therefore most of your negotiation power is in the install expense. Don't forget to factor in HD CV's and axles into the cost of the front and HD axles for the rear. Don't know if a rear locker is available for the disco. The Harrop Aust web site has the suitable applications.
