7 Pin round to 7 pin flat conversion plug

HI all. Just wondering if anyone has experienced any issues when using one of these conversion connections on a LR4. I understand that the rear lghts work of seperate circuits from the 12N socket and whether the conversion plug takes this into account. Thanks

Tried and tested the round to flat plug today and pleased to see no issues. I think I read after my test that the second sidelight pin in the 12N socket is converted by the adaptor for trailer brakes. As I don't have trailer brakes on my small camper I'm fine. But can anyone tell me what happens if you are braked and are using one of these? Do the brakes want to apply when the sidelights are on?

Are you using the one that comes supplied with the D4, or an aftermarket converter?

    PHL

I didn't get one supplied with my vehicle and so have an aftermarket one supplied by a friend in the towbar and roof rack business www.shop1auto.com.au

He dropped one off to try and it works fine with no problems.

You should ask your dealer; mine came with the car, although I did get the tow hitch, although that shouldn't have made any difference as tow electrics comes standard. I did get mine North of the Harbour though; I assume you got yours from Blakehurst?

Yes Purnells. I got the hitch receiver but no towing tounge and ball. I have an off road Cheapie camper which tows at 500mm ball height and turned the tongue upside down to achieve a level trailer under tow. Works well.

I wonder then if the adapter is part of the price of the tow hitch/tongue. From memory, mine was in the glove box.
