You might get some more life out of it by giving it a flush/cleaning the guts out.

A new radiator will be on order when i get to broome.

With the auto leak, i assume the torque converter is leaking? Is there any thing i can tighten up to fix? It leaks about 1litre every 600km or so

Im at the bungle bungles with good internet at the moment. The caravan park we are staying at has a old series and a old isuzu truck ill take a photo of and ask about tomorrow. I have seen a couple of defenders and d3's

If the leak is coming from the bell housing area most likely its the pump seal around the outer TC shaft, it might be the pump gasket let go as well Both require pulling the Trans or donk out to get to and generally you do both at once and hope the TC external shaft isnt scored

I'm with dave, radiator is shagged. As for the auto, once that pump seal let's go, its all over.

I'll vote for the radiator as well. I once had a perfectly fine Series rad that was suddenly not so fine in terrible heat in the Pilbara in September. Never again. Radiators and pumps and anything else related just get replaced now if I don't know how old they are.

There's been lots of very unusual rain here in the last week or so, so that may help you out. If you're coming through here, drop us a PM. (Sorry, no Disco radiators handy, though!)
