Advice sought, CB Antenna install location D2

I'm about to install a CB radio but I'm undecided where to install the Antenna. The radio is a GME TX3100 with a GME AE4012K1 ground independent antenna measuring 780mm long. I understand that a roof mount would have the best range but I park undercover at work and I don't want to increase the height of the vehicle, this leaves two locations I can think of, the front guard or the spare wheel carrier (no bull bar)

Now I have bought a GME stainless steel boot/ bonnet mount which I can use for either.

    So my two questions are:

1, Are there any issues with galvanic corrosion between the aluminium guard and stainless bracket?

2, Is there a significant difference in range between the two antenna locations?

    Thanks
    Marc

Can't speak for the spare wheel, but I ran a GME booster with a 1.2m whip antenna from the gutter mount on the guard with zero reception issues, no sign of corrosion when I moved it to the bar.
