    TD5 indicator fuse blowing

    Hello all,

My 2000 TD5 has suddenly developed an issue where the indicator fuse keeps blowing when it rains.
Before I start pulling apart all the indicator lenses to check for water leaks, does anyone know the best spot to start looking.
I have checked the tow plug at the rear of the car in case water was being pushed up but appears all OK.
I have a hunch that it may be the left indicator that blows the fuse

Pull all the globes from the front, bullbar, side repeaters and rear indicators. If you suspect left, them start with them. Test by activating indicator, then one at a time, replace the globes. You can make up a small test rig with a couple of wires connected to an old (but still good) headlight globe, and a couple of male knife connectors. plug it in instead of the fuse that would otherwise blow. By observing brightness of the headlight globe, you can tell if you've got a short at that light without continually blowing fuses in your search. In my case, I discovered my right bullbar indicator was shorting through a rust stain on a plastic bodied lamp. replaced both with LED lamps.

Check for rusted contact strips in the bulb holders.
I blew heaps of fuses before I worked it out.
