The Ashcroft ATB should fix that problem. I've used truetrac's in the past for that same reason. The only issue I found was getting your tyre pressures right to equalise the tyre diameters - if there is a slight difference in tyre diameter, left to right, the vehicle will want to wander to the side with the smaller tyre.
It is usually not so much a strength issue with the two pinion centre, but more that the hole for the cross pin wears and the cross pin works it's way out until it jambs, or breaks. Yes they suck and Land Rover have hardly ever built a strong drive line in all of their 65 years.
