    To Set Lock - Press on the brake pedal, push the knob down & release brake pedal.
    To Release Lock - Step on the brake pedal slightly harder than before and it will release automatically.

    I like the concept POD... but I wonder how you will get around the setting and unsetting.
    What are your thoughts? Would you use a two pole switch near the hydraulic controller.
    -To set the handbrake, switch one way which applies moderate current via the hydraulic unit, engage JAG brake.
    -To release flick switch the other way which applies maximum brake force to the controller and you get auto release.

    For $30 it might be worth a try. (in addition to hub lockers this would be good for quickie trailer braking)
    Ill talk with the guy Im building this chassis for see if he wants one put in the system.

    I'd be inclined to put a rheostat in the wiring instead of a switch, this would mimic the variable signal from the controller and allow variable amounts of braking pressure to be applied via a turn of the knob. I've often thought this would be handy for maneouvring the trailer on a slope when disconnected from the vehicle- there's one spot we regularly use the camper where I have to do this and controlled braking on the trailer would be a boon, last couple of times I have lowered it into the holes on the winch cable. This would solve the problem of needing to apply a little firmer pressure to release the valve. The way kimberley campers have the switch setup would apply the full 12v signal, giving way more pressure than necessary for park braking.

    A further thought- the slide on the brake controller could be used to apply varying amounts of pressure. With a spare tekonsha harness tapped into the wiring on the trailer, it could even be removed from the vehicle and used to apply the trailer brakes without the vehicle attached. My P2 controller clips in and out of the car in seconds.
