    Spark plug OOoops

I was hunting a water leak in my series 2 disco v8. When I pulled one of the plug leads.... The metal retaining clip stayed on the plug.

I pushed the cap back on and seated it as best I could and it has no miss but is that bad. It is a bugger to swap those leads.

    Thanks in advance

You need to get the boot off, recrimp the connector over the lead, making sure the centre conductor is in position, then refit the boot. It ain't gunna be easy but if you don't you will probably burn the end of the lead and maybe damage a coil pack.

If your boot is damaged then get a generic lead, remove the boot and connector and fit that instead.
