If you decide to seal the mainshaft spacer make sure you engage 3rd gear in the box before you remove the output gear and spacer in the t/case, otherwise you could have trouble getting it back on. If they are a bit tight what happens is the mainshaft moves forward a little allowing the last thrust bearing to drop off the lip it sits on. Can be a bitch to locate it back in place. Putting it in 3rd stops the shaft moving. Wheres the photos Daryl?
