My Defender 90 gets about 9-11L per 100K.

The bonus is off road the economy is still fantatsic where my rangie used to be a disaster.

I tend to average 10 lt / 100km in a 98 tdi disco. Best on highway trips and being gentle would be 8.5 lt / 100km. Worst (measured anyway) about 14 / 100 towing an 18ft boat.

When up crawling through the Vic high country, don't bother measuring!!

Sorry, Rosco,

Not trying to be hurtful at all. Believe me, I'd be driving a Defender too(Extreme with the expedition pack) if the Minister for the Opposition didn't have her say on the choice of vehicle. Even though I love my Disco just the same.

I had a 97 TDi disco which averaged about 10.5/100 then I got an 01 TD5 disco which was a dog on fuel till I got the fuel pump changed, which improved it a bit also check your tyre pressure. If it's too low this can have an effect on consumption.
Regards
