Hi Roby2, I ( a few years ago now ) used to manufacture and install car alarms. Can not remember doing a Disco.
In some cars, to get the new cental locking to work, the old one had to be diconnected at the control unit ( usually found behind the kick panel ).
Hope this may be of some help.

    thanks drivesafe
yeah thought of that only prob is that I cant find the control unit looked in both locations where could be (drivers kickpanel and under glovebox passenger side) thought maybe was aftermarket but is hooked up to original wiring harness was thinking of cutting power supply cable and rerouting from another power source hopefully to bypass control unit any thoughts ?

Sorry, can't help you with either wiring diagram or location.
I have workshop manuals for TDi and TD5. Both are very short on electrical details.
See if you can track down a wiring book called Rellum.
Think thats the way its spelt. Available here in Oz. These books are very good for hard to find wiring diagrams.
    Regards

One more thing, there is an impact sensor that is connected to the Central Locking and the Hazard Lights so take care if you disconnect the power to the cental loking unit.

You can't do it. Best way is to go buy a set from Brisbane car sound for $40 and retro fit. You dont need to fit the whole kit, just one front door unit and the control box and part of the harness.

What you do is replace the drivers side lock motor. Take the new wiring harness and cut off all wires a part from the drivers front and rear. Pull the harness into the drivers door and contect to new motor. You can find all other wire like power and feed to other doors in the original drivers door harness in the foot well. connect the new rear door wires to the old drives door harness in the footwell, you will find 2 wires that operate all other locks. You will also find power here to run the new control box. The rest of the new motors can be kept as spares for when the factory ones fail. The cyclops will trigger this fine. I've done a couple of Discos this way.

thanks for the advice guys will be trying to get it done over the next week
do have service and repair manual for disco (by haynes) but wiring diagram leaves a lot to be desired only shows wires etc from front door lock back to the other doors no mention of the control box but it is mentioned in the removal and reinstall of the door actuators(figures)
bought a central locking kit when purchased alarm there wasnt a control box with it it seems to be all inbuilt into the drivers door lock actuator but was hoping to hook straight into exicting units
    will post results when done

just finished the install of the keyless entry (cantral locking) basically did what youy mentioned shaunp replaced the front door actuator and the control box then routed the new wires through the same locations as the originals then hooked up one of the rear door looms (from new box) to the existing wires (actuators) for the rest to operate then fed and located all the other cables back up under the dash (sounds crude but is well hiden and located) thought that that way if the rear or left hand door actuators let go or if the original wiring goes funny still have the cables there to just re-route rather than cutting and shutting

    again thanks guys
    have fun
