    Vlad,

A guy in QLD, also a LR fan had a set of WOLF RIMS shipped frorm the UK. They are the later type 130 rims (round vent holes) and did cost them much less than original 130s. The Wolf rims are used by the Pommie Army.

    Vlad,
You're living in the wrong corner of the planet.
Do you have Pro Comp up there ?
My rims came from them, at around $150 ea new, and they are a good buy.

If you want to do it the easy way, just buy a set of second hand Disco rims. As everyone has said, they're 16x7, fairly easy to get and should cost about $100 each. They'll fit your 235/85's no problems, and have capacity for larger sizes like 255/85 if you ever decide to go that way in the future.

I'm sure the local LR wreckers up your way will have plenty.

The 130 rims cost alot, but they are strong as hell. They wiegh at least 3 times as much as the standard and disco rims and I challenge any one to bend or buckle one (been there, have lost it at "bad" speeds off road to the level of buckling a standard steel or cracking a mag and havn't damaged one yet)

i'll agree with that the 130 rims i had were near indestructable. Also I beleive Andersons was sellng some wolf rims a while ago as well as the rarer landrover split rims.
    cheers

What brand ? How much ? From where ? and how are they going - any comments on long term ownership... ?

Also anyone who runs Disco 16x7's on a Defender I'd be interested in your comments.

Goblin (I think it was you) who mentioned Pro_Comp - and good steel wheels. I'd love some more details...

    Thanks ppls.

Starting to look like I'm the only one on here

Thought I'd ask another really stupid question while I was here.

Would my Kumho Venture AT's be tubeless or have a tube ?

(and depending on that answer...) are 110, 130, Disco rims made for tubed or tubeless tyres ?

    Ta.

Disco rims are tubeless and your tyres are tubeless. Ive seen heaps of defenders getting around on disco steel rims.
    cheers
