    low speed shudder

    My 97 300 Tdi auto has started to shudder (steering wheel) at low speeds, mostly when slowing down or just crawling forward. First noticed after new suspension and steering dampener were fitted (2" lift). It goes away when you accelerate. Steering doesn't return to centre as easily anymore. New, stiffer suspension/dampener..more feedback?

    Check the wheel bearings first then the swivel pre load, Regards Frank.
