More complex with more moving parts and sealed compartments. If they represented value for money OR a improvement over other options regarless of cost, they would be way more popular than they are.
You forgeting that they are awesome

The only additional moving parts are 2 x CV's.

The covers are superfluous, the CV's are sealed, the diff centre is sealed as they run drive flanges as an IRS would and the outer end is also sealed. They are all display stand pics so potentially don't finish the units until they have a destination and are finished to order. I have no idea. But I did watch them fitted to a wrangler and everything was there, 2 guys, 6 hours for F&R with new arms including removal and replacement of chassis mounts and alignment. Everything is laser cut and made to fit up to landmarks on the chassis. Just tack, check measurements (off the sheet supplied to suit the model) and finish weld.

    Next?

    Next?, no go back.

I said overly complex live axle, not did I compared them to IRS/IFS. I also said IMO. So, IMO a rear axle (non-steer) that has 4x cvs is more complex than a regular. I also said they have some positives, but I feel they are out weighed by the negatives.

Your above argument still doesnt support bolt in. Removing chassis brackets kinda isnt And Id bet that 6 hrs didnt allow for the time of design etc to sort all that laser cut stuff out for the install.

Did they use coilovers by chance?

I still cant see how you would get resonable up travel with stock coil springs and bump stops with the centre higher than a normal diff. And if you have to use longer springs to get factory up travel, then that compounds the raise in COG that the design of the diffs already does.

But if you like them thats fine, its what makes the world go round. They just arent for me.

Sump clearance and front propshaft angle/clearance come to mind. I think you'd end up with something having heaps of clearance but no stability, even with all the installation issues solved. Still, good to see some innovation.

Chassis brackets are part of the kit.
It can bolt up to OEM brackets OR using longer arms with new brackets.
The centre in relation to original is at the same height, the drop in the tubes allows greater road clearance.

The people on Pirate are not fans it seems. This has to be the worst panhard bracket I have ever seen!

Right now a fully built set of builder style axles are $10,800. They come with ARB's, brakes, thirdmember, everything.

The bolt in JK's we are listing for $12,800 for a set.

    I agree.

    This is old technology.

And the higher the diff centre the higher the driveline components and engine etc above it must be to afford clearance.

    Cheers, Adam.

Good point, but didnt they say there was a somewhat bolt on kit for the jeep..that means driveline stays as is, diff in standard spot, wheels are lower
