Anyone have advice on the lubrication of rocker shafts, rockers and pushrods/lifters on the 3.9 V8?
With the engine rebuild kit I got from Rimmers UK the rocker shafts do not have the notch in the end to ensure correct orientation. I guess it musn't matter much but I've read in engine rebuild articles that it's important that the oil holes drilled in the rocker shaft should angle towards the valley. Is this to ensure more oil weeps onto the valley side of the head and down to the lifters? The rockers are the steel type with heels for contact with valve stems - the rockers do not have any oil holes drilled through their bodies.
