Also I use BP Visco 5000 oil as Castrol (although distributed by BP in WA)is too expensive. I get 20 litre drums of Visco 5000 from the distributor for about $130.

I change mine every 10,000Km too. After 10thou the oil is pretty black but it doesn't stain your fingers. And old rule of thumb was if the oil stained your fingers it well and truly beyond efficient lubrication. I use Castrol Magnatec as that is what my dealer uses on the "other" changes.
